Here at Pembroke Kilkenny, we are lucky to have such a fantastic city centre location. Just a stone's throw from Kilkenny Castle, Kilkenny Design Centre and dozens of bars and restaurants, our location on Patrick Street makes us the perfect base for a group, family or romantic holiday in Ireland.

We are easily accessible by car and we're only 5 minutes from the train station. National buses also stop directly opposite the hotel entrance - what can we say? We're very well connected.

You can now travel direct from Dublin airport to our front door in under two hours. National buses stop on Ormonde Road, directly opposite our entrance. Check Bus Eireann, J.J. Kavanagh and Dublin Coach for times. For those travelling by train, we are a ten minute walk from McDonagh train station.

  • Follow the signs for the M50 motorway heading southbound
  • At Junction 9, take the N7 exit to Limerick/Cork/Waterford/N8/N9
  • The N7 will merge with the M7. Continue along the M7
  • At Junction 11, leave the M7 and take the M9 to Waterford/Kilkenny (approx. 45 miles)
  • At Junction 8, take the N10 exit to Kilkenny and continue.
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit
  • Continue onto Hebron Road. Go through 1 roundabout
  • At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto Castlecomer New Rd
  • Continue straight onto John Street Upper and continue until you are in the city centre
  • Go straight through the junction
  • Pembroke Kilkenny is located 100 metres from here on the left hand side
  • Take 2nd exit on the Avenue 2000 roundabout
  • Take 1st exit onto N27
  • At Kinsale Road Roundabout take 3rd exit to N8 merging onto N40
  • Take 2nd exit onto M8 Dublin/Fermoy and continue for 73 miles
  • At Junction 4, take exit to Kilkenny/Johnstown/Urlingford, continuing along the R693 towards Freshford & Kilkenny (approx. 8 miles)
  • Take 1st exit at St. Luke’s Hospital roundabout
  • Go through the next roundabout at Greensbridge
  • Turn left at traffic lights onto Kilkenny’s High Street
  • Continue until the end of the road
  • Turn right at the Parade
  • Pembroke Kilkenny is situated 100 metres from here on the left hand side
  • From Rosslare, follow the N25 towards New Ross, then Waterford (approx. 40 miles)
  • Merge onto M9 motorway
  • At Junction 9, take the N10 exit to Kilkenny
  • At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto N10
  • At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on N10
  • At the Waterford roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Waterford Road and continue
  • Waterford Road merges to Upper Patrick Street
  • Continue onto Patrick Street
  • Pembroke Kilkenny is located on the right hand side of the street as you approach (approx. 200 metres)  
  • Follow the signs for M1/Aiport/Toll Tunnel
  • At Junction 3, take M50 exit to Southbound/All Other Routes and continue on M50
  • At Junction 9, take the N7 exit to Limerick/Cork/Waterford/N8/N9
  • Continue along the N7 until it merges with the M7. Continue on M7
  • At Junction 11, leave the M7 and take the M9 to Waterford/Kilkenny (approx. 45 miles)
  • At Junction 8, take the N10 exit to Kilkenny and continue
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit
