Cancellation Policy

These terms apply to reservations made directly with Pembroke Kilkenny by phone, email or on our official website.

For reservations made on third-party sites, please contact that site if you wish to amend or cancel your reservation. We do not have access to third-party reservations and are not permitted to make changes unless instructed by the third-party provider.


The full name and contact details of all guests are required in advance of your stay or your reservation is at risk of cancellation. This is required in the event of contact tracing due to Covid19 within 14 days of your departure.


Cancellations and amendments are permitted for individual reservations up to 24 hours prior to 2pm on the day of arrival. Package deals cancelled within 24 hours of arrival are subject to 100% cancellation charge. This includes all offers/rates, enhancements, add-ons and medispa treatments whether booked at the time of hotel reservation, as part of a package or separately/at a later time. In the event of late cancellation or non-arrival, your credit card will be charged for one night's accommodation for each room reserved.


For bookings of 5 or more rooms, a separate group cancellation policy applies, please contact the hotel directly.


For all Advance Purchase and Prepaid Rate reservations, the room rate for the full duration of the stay and any pre-booked amenities (e.g. champagne on arrival or extra meals) is charged in full at time of reservation. If you cancel for any reason, attempt to modify this reservation, or do not arrive on your specified check-in date, your payment is non-refundable.


Charges will apply for all additional amenities pre-booked with the reservation even if they are not taken (e.g. breakfast, wine, early-arrival, late check-out). Any unused amenities/package elements are non-transferable and non-refundable.


If you have not checked-in or contacted the hotel by phone to reconfirm that you still intend to arrive before 8 am the morning after your confirmed arrival date we will assume your reservation is cancelled and you will be charged the fees as above.


At check-in, the front desk will verify your departure date. Rates quoted are based on check-in date and length of stay. Should you choose to depart early price may be subject to change.


Credit or debit card details will be required at time of booking to secure the reservation. A pre-authorisation of the full cost of your reservation will be placed on your credit card on arrival. On check-out, the full amount will be charged to the card. Debit card and Cash payments are also accepted, and must be paid in full on check-in. If paying by debit card/cash and wish to charge to your room, a €50 per night pre-authorisation must be placed on your credit/debit card. Pre-authorisations are released by your bank after 2-3 days. For reservations made with a third-party provider (e.g. Expedia), please refer to the cancellation details provided to you at the time of booking.


While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all material on this website the hotel does not accept direct, indirect or consequential liability for loss or damage due to any errors or omissions.
