Day 1

Start your visit to Kilkenny by checking into Pembroke Hotel, in the heart of the city, an ideal location for exploring on foot. Drop your bags in one of our luxurious double rooms complete with a king-sized bed and crisp white linen. Head down to our lobby to enjoy a fantastic lunch in Statham’s Bar & Restaurant where we cater to all tastes and dietary requirements.

Once you’re full and happy, enjoy a ‘Relax and Revive’ experience in Mint Medispa, including bespoke facial, back neck & shoulder massage and personalised touch therapy. This 90-minute treatment will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed from your journey. This is followed by sweet treats served in our couple’s relaxation room post-treatment. Treat your loved one to a wonderful experience they’ll never forget.

Retire to your room to nap, shower and chill out before heading out on the town to enjoy dinner and drinks. Kilkenny is a vibrant city with live music on every corner, so you’ll be spoiled for choice. Some of the city’s venues are small and cosy, some are large and loud but there is something to suit everyone’s idea of a romantic night out. You won’t have far to travel back to Pembroke for a great night’s sleep.

Day 2

Start your day off feeling refreshed and enjoying a full breakfast in Statham’s. Our breakfast is well-known in the town as being the best breakfast offering for miles. We offer a selection of cooked and continental breakfasts, perfectly portioned so you’re pleasantly full without overdoing it. Breakfast is served in our stylish dining area by friendly, knowledgeable staff, happy to answer any questions you might have.

After breakfast, head out for the day exploring the cultural and heritage sites of Kilkenny hand in hand. Make sure to visit the stunning St Canice’s Cathedral and climb the round tower for the best views of the county, especially if the weather is on your side. Kilkenny Castle is also a must-see on your Kilkenny bucket list! You can enjoy excellent local shopping with many boutiques and small independent businesses located right beside us on Patrick Street. Kilkenny is the perfect escape for couples!

After a long day of exploring, spend your evening dining & drinking in Statham’s restaurant, enjoying the best farm-to-fork experience. Our chefs have created a varied and seasonal menu with ingredients from quality producers both locally in Kilkenny and across the country, all of whom we trust and are proud to support. Enjoy a meal you’ll remember long after it’s finished and end with a homemade sweet treat.
