Members of our resident Saturday night band will take to the Global Green stage at this year’s sold-out Electric Picnic, on Saturday 3rd of September. Held in the grounds and woodlands surrounding Stradbally Hall, the band will join Lana Del Rey and the Chemical Brothers for the annual three day music and arts festival in neighbouring Co. Laois.
We are delighted to see our house band playing at Electric Picnic and we wish them the best of luck. Regular visitors to Statham’s Bar & Restaurant will be familiar with their sound and it is a testament to their creativity and talent to be chosen to play at this year’s festival.
Formed in 2012, the alternative folk band comprises four members including James Haughey, Greg Breen and Kilkenny natives Manus Crowley and James Savage. Showcasing tracks from their new album ‘Awake’, their music is described as a rare blend of original music that is infused with uplifting harmony telling the story of 21st century Ireland.
If festivals aren’t your thing, members of ‘The Savage Jim Breen’ can be seen free of charge in Statham’s Bar & Restaurant on Thursday and Saturday nights, performing as ‘Raven Savage’.
