Here are some of the many new procedures we have put in place to ensure our guests and staff are safe and comfortable from check-in until the time you leave.

This is thanks to the rigorous training and hard work shown every day by our dedicated housekeeping team. They have always worked diligently to make sure no stone is left unturned and every inch of the hotel is spotlessly clean. New Hygiene MeasuresInstead of adding new measures to our schedule, we have completely redesigned the way we clean to match the new era of cleanliness. We believe our guests deserve the very best from our boutique four-star hotel and we strive to uphold the highest standards set out by ourselves and HSE guidelines. Our Health, Safety & Hygiene partners Seachange have supported us to ensure that ‘clean luxury’ was embedded into our business and their knowledge has helped the hotel to reopen with an improved offering.
For your safety:Reservations, Check-In & Check-Out: We are eliminating queuing and all unnecessary touchpoints with the best technology available. We are pre-registering guests by asking for a simple email response, allowing us to contact trace if needed and to send your room key directly to your smartphone. Check-out processes have also been automated with your preferred payment arrangement and the receipt is emailed to you on the morning of departure. You won’t need to visit Reception, but we welcome guests who wish to say goodbye. If these new procedures don’t suit you, we can still arrange a traditional check-in and out, with extra sanitation measures in place.
Dining in Pembroke Hotel: Dining in Statham’s and enjoying our breakfast has often been the highlight of our guests stay and we wanted to keep it that way so we have adapted our booking, ordering and serving procedures to ensure your safety is guaranteed. We have a new kitchen with a layout that allows 2M distancing and our kitchen staff wear the appropriate PPE. Our buffet breakfast is a thing of the past for now, but not to worry, we’ve put the best of the buffet in a box tailored for you. Enjoy it in your room, in the hotel’s public areas or maybe enjoy a picnic and a short walk to Castle Park. Our new app has also been integrated with our reservations and billing systems, so you can effortlessly book your meals, drinks or that special surprise for arrival.
Hotel Layout: We have a brilliant design, perfected by our experienced owner, which is ideal for keeping our guests safe and separate. This includes easy circulation through the hotel and minimal corridors, automated doors and sensor taps, contactless public access including lifts and simple elbow-operated toilet doors. Our bar and dining areas have been expanded so you can enjoy a spacious, well-ventilated dining experience.
Lifts: We are lucky to have two lifts in the hotel and ask that guests use them singularly. Our lifts have been programmed to take you directly to your chosen floor without responding to other landing calls for your comfort.
Stairs: Our stairs and landings are wide, leaving plenty of space to allow a guest to wait at the top or bottom while another completes their journey.
Hand Washing: Hand sanitisers are available throughout the hotel and we encourage everybody to follow the simple, but critical, advice on hand hygiene. Staff are fully trained in hand hygiene practices and close monitoring is in place.
Bedrooms: Prior to arrival, your room will have been deep cleaned and sanitised to our exceeding high standards and checked by our supervisors. We will not enter your room again, except to deal with a specific request and in accordance with procedures.
Ventilation and Air Conditioning: We have increased natural ventilation in our bedrooms and public areas and openable windows put you in control.
Training: All of our employees have comprehensive training on Covid-19 safety and hygiene protocols on an ongoing basis. PPE is worn based on job-specific risk assessments. Dedicated staff clean and sanitise the hotel’s public areas throughout the day.
What you can do to help: We ask guests to avoid waiting at busy junctions of the hotel and use the space to make way for others. Our house rules are to enhance the safety of our guests and staff, and we ask that guest use common sense when clear rules aren’t visible.
